I would check that the network and audio drivers are up to date. Sometimes drivers for the networking and audio subsystems may take up too much processor time and cause choppy sound.

Hey, i’m having this massive problem of audio on this laptop its choppy and its lagging ALOT i have closed alot of programs running in the background and emptyed alot of the harddrive but it continues to lag please help!!!

Hi, i have windows 7 installed on this machine.
my web cam is not working.
and i am unable to find specific alone drivers for webcam.
and there is nothing about this on Compaq hp website.
this is so frustrating.

I have just bought this printer some days ago. I thinks it is very noisy when printing – it sounds like the printer is going to pieces. I had a 3310 before and compared to this I think 7510 is very noisy. Reading this review I come to think that something might be wrong with my printer. I sounds like a stick in a wheel. I will ofcourse contact the supplier.

I meant to say:

1 – the MFC5890CN supports the following email address
To: UKFAX@brother.co.uk (fax#123456789)
To: “fax#123456789″
To: UKFAX@brother.co.uk(fax#123456789)

which means that you can use Thunderbird as a mail client.
I am sure it will work with other mail clients, but I just tested with Thunderbird and .NET.

Ok I did a few tests in the past days.
And concluded:

1 – the MFC5890CN supports the following email address
To: UKFAX@brother.co.uk (fax#123456789)
To: “fax#123456789″
To: UKFAX@brother.co.uk(fax#123456789)

2- The TIF is not easy to generate. I can only generate it from a pdf using ghostscript:
gswin32c -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=tiffg3 -dPDFFitPage -dNORANGEPAGESIZE -r204x196 -sOutputFile=out.tif in.pdf

3- When the MFC5890CN receives an email to relay with a TIFF that can not read. It does not fail.
It sends a Fax with the message “ATTACHED FILE FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED” to the destination. And a notification to the sender with “SUCCESS : Relay To# .
It should fail and send a notification to the sender “FAILURE : Relay To:”.

4- the printer as a poor handling of the Notification messages.
- when a fax is received the printer could add the (callerId)to the email subject.
- should also have better relay notifications.
On Success: By attaching the files sent. Number of pages. Resolution. …
On Failure: description of the problem

Conclusion: Brother T.37 is good taking into account the price range of this printer. I am not aware of any other device that can do T.37 on this price range ($150). Actually I don’t know and device that can do it for less than $400.
But it could be much better with a little change in their code (some bug fixes and improvements).

I got a brother printer MFC-5890CN because of the T.37 feature, but 2 things are driving me crazy:

- the email format:
fax-mailbox@service-domail(FAX#fax_number)
Thunderbird does not support this address format
neither the .NET classes:
System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient
System.Net.Mail.MailMessage

– the TIFF-F format
I tried to use the pdfcreator like explained here:

In the TIFF settings I had to configure:
Resolution: 196dpi
Color: 2 colors (black/white) G3 fax encoding with EOLs
but it does not work.

Do you have any tips that could help me ?
Do you know of any Good Fax Server that does T.37 and is in the same price range of this printers ?

Make sure that your range extender is pointing to the DG834G and broadcasts on a different channel and SSID. It should be located at the fringe of the DG834G’s coverage.

Have been in commnication with Netgear for 15 days trying to get my extender to work: now at “limited or no connectivity” despite have “excellent” sgnal strength. My wireless modem is a DG834G v3 – am wondering if it’s just too old for the WN3000RP?

Set up your account with your POP3 username and password, but go to “Manual Setup”. The SMTP details for your outgoing mail end up in the “Outgoing Settings” option.

I just received this printer for Christmas. While it was easy to set up it does not come with a user guide. Sure It gives you a couple page booklet to label all the parts of the printer. But no booklet to show you exactly what your printer can do. I’ve been trying for the last hour to print a 4 x 6 printer from my phone. I found it very easy to send the picture from my phone to the printer I can’t figure out how to print the picture on 4 x6 printer paper and not 8×10 printer paper. It keeps telling me to load printer paper in the main tray but ignores the fact that I have 4×6 paper in the photo tray. At this point I’m about to throw it out the window. Well hopefully I’ll figure it out. Merry Christmas!!!!
